Mt Maunganui

Raining, raining, raining! It's raining again today, and therefore there's no job for us. Not only it is raining, it's also the first time in my life that I saw a hailstone rain!

Weather is so cold!!!

Since we're not working, we went to Mount Maunganui, a town in the Bay of Plenty which located at the North of Tauranga. Mount Maunganui is also the name of the extinct volcanic cone that rises above the town, which is now officially known by its Maori name ~ "Mauao", or people here usually called it "The Mount".

Streetview ~

What a casual and smart postman!

Here we go, the bay of walk!

The 3.4km Bay of Walk

Up Up Up!!!

At first, we didn't plan to climb up The Mount. In fact, we didn't really do homework and thus we don't know that this place is sooo beautiful! We walked around the street and planned to just have a look at The Mount. Unconsiciously, we walked into the 3.4km Bay Of Walk, and we were truly amazed by the breathtaking view! Suddenly, we saw an arrow which pointed the way to the summit. Without hesitation, four of us climbed up The Mount, and this is what we see!

The breathtaking view from the peak of The Mount
During the journey, we're really tired and there's few times that we thought to give up because it is too tiring and we AREN'T PREPARED to hike at all! Furthermore, there's few times when we were really exhausted and still we saw the endless staircase in front of us that scared us off!

The scary staircase, it is like endless to us

The exhausted look after we reached the summit

Once we came down from the Mount, we saw lots of RV parking at the park!!!!! RV, our dream!!! Hope we got a chance for it before we leave NZ!

A very nice building

Finally, we end our day with a super cheap deal, NZD5 teriyaki chicken and it tastes yummy!
