Arrowtown

When cherry season close to the end, we started to pack nectarines in the same orchard. However, nectarines production are not as much as cherries. Hence, our working hour has shortened a lot and we have many off days. Since there's not much place to go around Alexandra, we went to Arrowtown, a small town located near Queenstown.

Arrowtown is a historic gold mining town in Otago region. It is a delightful gold rush village nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. A very small town, the heart of its history is Buckingham Street, a procession of small town heritage buildings that stretches into a tree-lined avenue of tiny miner's cottages. The buildings in this lovely precinct house shops, galleries, bars and restaurants, are classy.
