Clyde

Clyde is a small town in Central Otago. It is located just 15 minutes drive from Alexandra. This town is surrounded by an area renowned first for gold then for its stone fruit orchards.

Many historic buildings have survived in Clyde, and the town centre has been declared an historic precinct. Some buildings have been reburbished as cafes, bars, and places to stay.

Post Office is not a post office. It's a restaurant.

Want to stay in such a lovely house?

We love to hang out at The Bank Cafe, a cafe with awesome muffin.

After coffee, we walk to the Clyde Dam. Clyde Dam is New Zealand's third largest hydroelectric dam. It is built on the Clutha River.

Small, quiet, historic town. This is what Clyde is.
