Kariotahi Beach

Today is another day for us to do gardening job in exchange for one day accomodation. After work, we went to black sand beach, or named "Kariotahi Beach" recommended by Mr Kuo. Black sand beach is actually not a tourist attraction, it is a beach with black sand. Due to its uniqueness, this beach has attracts local people to play around there.

Once reach, we were surprised by the sand which is totally black, like charcoal! All of us wear shorts, as Mr Kuo suggested us to wear short pants so that we can have fun at the beach. However, the wind is freezing cold and all of us were trembling!!!

Sunday Market, Warehouse Shopping, Auckland Botanic Garden, Hunua Falls

Hey it's Saturday! Time for a fruitful outing ~~~

Opening up the mussels!

At the morning market here, you could see a lot of dogs!

First destination - Sunday Market. We're tired of shopping at the supermarket, and hence we went to the "Sunday Market" here which opened on Saturday (feeling funny). Their morning market here is very clean, and you can see many unique stuff is selling here!
Ollie Bollies. Trust me, it's really yummy!!

After Sunday Market, we went shopping at the warehouse, where we could find a lot of cheap stuff! The warehouse here is really huge and it has different departments selling different goods.

Next destination will be the Auckland Botanic Garden. The red hot sun is shinning, and yet the strong wind is still blowing. Botanic Garden is a huge garden with varies species of plants. After some walking, the weather was really hot and we took a rest under a tree. Surprisingly, it is very cold under the shades!!

Resting under the shades... so cold!

Hunua Falls is another place for us to sight seeing recommended by Mr Kuo. The water is clean and the ambience is very relaxing.
